I tried that already

We have been reworking my younger son's room. He decided he was done with the ocean theme and would like to go for a nature theme. We're not sure what that means, but we've taken down fish decor, nets, posters, anything aquatic. My son, ever the optimist, suggested this might help him keep his room clean. I said, "Maybe you just need to decide to be a big boy who can keep his room clean."

He shook his head. "Nope. I tried that already and it didn't help at all."
