Snow in Frisco?
For the first tim in a long time, San Francisco is expecting snow. A snow storm. They have not had snow since 1976, when I was 5. The reason I am watching San Francisco? That is the airport through which we are flying on our way to Beijing on Wednesday. I have, of course, been watching the weather for Denver for next week (looks fine for a very early drive to the airport)but it did not occur to me that San Francisco may be shut down for snow. If it's not one thing, it's another. God is good, memsahib.

trying out blogging again
This will be a short note to see if I can remember a) how to type, b)how to write, c)what my password is and d) to practice this teeny tiny keyboard we got for our trip. Already this has had many typos and has taken way too long.
We are about to leave! Only a matter of days now. Probably frantic days of last minute preparations and roller coaster emotions, all the while keeping a calm face and voice so my boys don't feel lost in the shuffle. But here on the blog, I may just freak out.
Grace, here we come to bring you home! And home, I may add, to a very cute and girly and mostly pink room. When it is not waist deep in items we will be cramming into a few small suitcases, it is serene and pretty and peaceful. I do not know if you will be either serene or peaceful, but I do already know you are beautiful.
This site is - for now, at least - intended to keep our friends and families updated on the journey to bring home Grace. I am really hoping to figure out how to post pictures because, like us, everyone is hoping to see new pictures of our girl.
From all we've heard, our next few weeks should be fairly predictable in schedule but not at all predictable in about every other way. Will Grace romotely take to either or both of us? Will we have the flu for two weeks in China? Have I guessed the right size/season of baby clothes to take? Will anyone sleep? We are more than willing to take these risks and lots more to bring home the daughter/sister we have been anticipating and loving for five years.
Almost there!
